Just got home after seeing Buffalo Tom at the American Music Hall in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco...
...wow. What a great band. What an awesome setlist. And they had Juliana Hatfield as support. wtf!! After 12 years of wanting to see them, I finally caught them live and they didn't disappoint. It was as if they hadn't disappeared for 9 years... Bill was insanely into playing, and they still sound as fresh as they did in the early 90s. I am just so pleased from this gig... it beats out Smashing Pumpkins last week, but only cause I'm not a die-hard Pumpkins fan.
The best bit (aside from hearing Summer live at last) was being seated next to the lighting booth and having dinner served during Juliana and then having drinks served to us in our seats all night. Fantastic evening really, although I wish I had brought my video camera along.
